1927

1945
- Robert W. Carlstrom Co., Inc. (RWC) was established by Robert W. Carlstrom, initially focusing on small concrete masonry projects.
- The business relocated to 709 S Front Street in downtown Mankato as it expanded.
1976
- RWC incorporated.
- Jon and Lee Carlstrom (Robert’s sons) acquired ownership.
2003-2004
- In 2003, Scott Umhoefer was appointed President.
- In 2004, Scott Umhoefer and Ian Carlstrom (Robert’s grandson and Jon’s son) purchased the business.
2007
- RWC moved to a new headquarters at 1901 Excel Drive, Mankato, demonstrating the company’s growth and craftsmanship.
2011-2021
- Jeremy Hatlevig joined the company’s ownership and was appointed Vice President of Operations.
- In 2012, Scott Umhoefer purchased Ian Carlstrom’s shares, becoming the majority owner.
Present
- As Scott nears retirement, RWC is working on a transition plan for new ownership and leadership, with Jeremy Hatlevig and Danny Umhoefer expanding their roles, along with Bob Umhoefer taking on new leadership duties.
